| PITIGLIANO: "The small Jerusalem" | ||
|
An antique etruscan settlement set in a hollow with small valleys and roads set within stone. The town lies on the edge of a cliff top made of a tufa stone. It is a breathtaking sight for visitors. The town perfectly immersed in a highly suggestive confext, conserves the same structures of medieval times, with small lanes and handcraft sheps enriched with renaissance monuments including a sinagogue telling us also of a flourishing, Jewish community, hence the name “little Jerusalem”.
