The centre of Southern Etruria, the etruscan capital, a medeival city, an international archeological site with a very intense cultural life. The city of Tarquinia high on a mount, has beautiful panoramic vew at 133 mt above sea level, looking on to the valley of the River Marta and the Tyrrhenian sea.

The tourist can appreciate the numerous etruscan antiques visiting the aristocratic Vitelleschi Palace, a fabulous gothic renaissance structure which has become a National Museum. The Etruscan necropoli, just outside the town is full of the most beautifully painted and best preserved tombs in the whole world, which tell the story and culture of a fascinating and enigmatic population.
